Kevin Barnett
Two-time Olympian Kevin Barnett serves as a sitting volleyball analyst for NBC Olympics’ coverage of the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. Prior to his Paralympic Games assignment, Barnett recently served as an indoor volleyball analyst at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics. Rio marked Barnett’s third Olympic indoor volleyball analyst assignment, having served in both NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London. Barnett played for the U.S. national team at the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games, leading the team to a fourth-place finish at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
Barnett’s broadcasting credits include calling the FIVB World League matches and the Men’s and Women’s Volleyball World. He currently contributes as a play-by-play announcer, host and analyst for NBC, ESPN, FOX Sports and the Pac 12 Network.
After retiring as a player in early 2006, Barnett returned to the National Team as a coaching consultant. He is currently assisting all levels, teaching National Team technique and terminology.
Barnett attended college at Pepperdine University and currently resides in California.
