Play-by-Play, Women’s Hockey

John Walton will make his NBC Olympics debut as a play-by-play announcer for women’s hockey at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

Walton is currently in his seventh season as a radio play-by-play voice for the NHL’s Washington Capitals, and also serves as the team’s Director of Broadcasting.

In addition to calling the play-by-play on the Capitals Radio Network, Walton has also called action during the Stanley Cup Playoffs for NBC Sports on NBCSN. His other national work for NBCSN has included play-by-play for college hockey coverage, including the Hockey East championship in Boston.
