Play-by-Play
JB Long makes his Olympic broadcast debut with NBC Sports Group as a play-by-play announcer during the Olympic Games in Rio. Long contributed to NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the 2004 Olympics in Athens as a runner and production assistant for the men’s and women’s basketball broadcast team.
Long currently serves as a play-by-play announcer for baseball, basketball, football, golf, soccer, and wrestling on Pac-12 Networks. He also contributes to ESPN and MLB Network as a freelance play-by-play announcer. Long began his career as a sports anchor with WHBF-TV in the Quad Cities.
A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Long currently resides in San Francisco, Calif., with his wife, Cassiopeia.
