Canoeing, Flatwater & Whitewater Canoeing Analyst

Eric Giddens makes his Olympic debut with NBC Sports Group serving as a canoeing, flatwater and whitewater analyst during the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

A slalom kayaker, Giddens competed from the early for over a decade.

He finished 20th in the men’s K-1 slalom event at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. His wife, fellow slalom kayaker Rebecca Giddens, won silver in the women’s K-1 event at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens.

Giddens and his wife reside currently in Kernville, Calif., where they own Kern River Brewing Company.
