Weightlifting Play-by-Play
Ed Cohen makes his Olympic debut with NBC Sports Group as a weightlifting play-by-play announcer during the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
Cohen currently serves as a play-by-play announcer for CBS Sports Network, Big Ten Network, ESPN3/Regional and the Atlantic 10 Network. Although he primarily covers college basketball, Cohen can also be heard calling KHL Russian hockey, Yomiuri Giants baseball and New York Cosmos soccer on ONE World Sports. Before moving to television Cohen served as the radio voice of the Rutgers women’s basketball team and the Manhattan College men’s basketball team.
Cohen attended Ithaca College and currently resides in New York, N.Y.
