CHRIS CARRINO
Chris Carrino serves as a handball play-by-play announcer for the 2016 Olympic Games. Rio marks Carrino’s third Olympics with NBC Sports Group having served as a basketball play-by-play commentator during the 2012 Olympic Summer Games in London and the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
Carrino is currently the radio play-by-play voice of the Brooklyn Nets on Sports Radio 66 WFAN. For the past 15 seasons, Carrino has described many of the greatest moments in Nets franchise history, including both NBA Finals appearances in 2002 and 2003. Carrino can also be heard occasionally as a play-by-play announcer on the Nets TV broadcasts on YES Network and calling NFL games for Compass Media Networks.
Carrino resides in New Jersey with his wife, Laura, and their son, Christopher.
