Highlighting the men’s field is 19-year-old phenom Ilia Malinin, coming off a strong season that saw him win his second consecutive U.S. senior championship and capture victories at the Grand Prix Final and Skate America. Two-time defending world champion and three-time Olympic medalist Shoma Uno (Japan), defending world silver medalist and two-time Olympian Cha Jun-Hwan (South Korea), and 2014 Sochi Olympic team bronze medalist Jason Brown are also expected to compete.

The American women’s team is headlined by 17-year-old rising star Isabeau Levito, who finished fourth at last year’s world championships, and 2024 U.S. champion Amber Glenn. On the international side, two-time defending world champion and two-time Olympic medalist Kaori Sakamoto (Japan) looks to become the first women’s skater to win three consecutive world titles since Peggy Fleming. In the ice dance competition, the U.S. team Madison Chock and Evan Bates aim for their second consecutive gold in this event, and their fifth Worlds medal. They will face a strong field including defending world silver medalists Charlene Guignard and Marco Fabbri (Italy). In the pairs’ competition, Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara (Japan) look to defend their world title against an unpredictable and exciting field.
