2024 World Indoor Championships Presented March 1-3 Across Peacock, NBC, and CNBC

STAMFORD, Conn. – Feb. 15, 2024 – The 60m battle between six-time world champion Noah Lyles and 2019 100m world champion Christian Coleman highlights NBC Sports’ live coverage of the 2024 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships from the Albuquerque Convention Center in New Mexico this Saturday, Feb. 17, at 4 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.

Lyles, who won the 60m at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in Boston earlier this month in a world-leading time of 6.44 seconds, aims to win his first 60m indoor national title against 60m world record holder Christian Coleman, who won last week’s Millrose Games 60m in 6.51. Coleman is undefeated against Lyles at the 60m distance; the two sprint stars last faced each other in the Prefontaine Classic 100m in September 2023, where Coleman edged the reigning 100m world champion, 9.83 to 9.85.

Other notable U.S. stars expected to compete this weekend include 60m hurdles world record holder and reigning indoor world champion Grant Holloway, reigning shot put Olympic and world champion and world record holder Ryan Crouser, U.S. indoor mile record holder Elle St. Pierre, U.S. mile and 3,000m record holder Yared Nuguse, reigning Olympic and world pole vault champion Katie Moon, 2016 Rio Olympic pole vault silver medalist Sandi Morris, U.S. 60m record holder Aleia Hobbs, and Cole Hocker, fresh off of running the second-fastest two-mile in U.S. history at last week’s Millrose Games (8:05.70).

This weekend’s national championship serves as a selection event for the 2024 World Indoor Championships in Glasgow, Scotland, on March 1-3. The top two athletes in each event will be selected to represent the United States, provided that those athletes have met the World Athletics entry standard or have a high enough world ranking within the qualification window. Athletes can also earn a spot at the World Indoor Championships by virtue of winning the 2023 or 2024 World Indoor Tour for that respective event.

NBC Sports’ Paul Swangard will call the event, joined by four-time Olympic medalist Ato Boldon, 2012 London Olympic decathlon silver medalist Trey Hardee, and two-time Olympian Kara Goucher. Lewis Johnson will serve as reporter.
