DP World Tour Continues International Swing with Hero Dubai Desert Classic

STAMFORD, Conn. – Jan. 17, 2024 – The PGA TOUR returns to the U.S. mainland for The American Express and the LPGA Tour and PGA TOUR Champions open their 2024 schedules this week, headlining NBC Sports’ live golf coverage across NBC, GOLF Channel and Peacock.

PGA TOUR: THE AMERICAN EXPRESS

The American Express kicks off a string of three straight PGA TOUR events in California and is played over three courses – the Stadium Course and Nicklaus Tournament Course at PGA West and La Quinta Country Club. The star-studded field – which features 22 of the top 50 players in the world – includes World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas, Rickie Fowler and Patrick Cantlay. Daniel Berger makes his first TOUR start since 2022 this week after missing the last 18 months with a back injury.

Live tournament coverage airs Thursday-Sunday from 4-7 p.m. ET on GOLF Channel and Peacock.

LPGA TOUR: HILTON GRAND VACATIONS TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS

The LPGA Tour kicks off its 75th season with the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club in Orlando, Fla. The event features winners from the past two seasons who will play alongside sports and entertainment celebrities. Brooke Henderson won the event last year in wire-to-wire fashion and headlines this week’s field including Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda, 2023 LPGA Player of the Year Lilia Vu, and 2023 U.S. Women’s Open champion Allisen Corpuz.

Former American tennis player Mardy Fish returns to defend his celebrity title last year amongst a field including World Golf Hall of Famer Annika Sorenstam, NFL Hall of Famer Marcus Allen, and former MLB players Roger Clemens, John Smoltz and Albert Pujols.

Live coverage gets underway Thursday at 1 p.m. ET on GOLF Channel and Peacock. NBC will provide third-round coverage Saturday at 3 p.m. ET. The week’s coverage kicks off with the 2024 LPGA Season Preview today at 4:30 p.m. ET on GOLF Channel.

The PGA TOUR Champions 2024 schedule begins this weekend at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship at Hualalai Golf Club in ‘Ka’upulehu-Kona in Hawaii. 2023 Charles Schwab Cup winner Steve Stricker looks to defend his title against a group of challengers including Fred Couples, Bernhard Langer, Ernie Els, Stewart Cink, Mark O’Meara and Vijay Singh. Thursday-Saturday coverage airs 7-10 p.m. ET on GOLF Channel and Peacock.


DP WORLD TOUR: HERO DUBAI DESERT CLASSIC

The DP World Tour continues its international swing with the Hero Dubai Desert Classic at Emirates Golf Club in the United Arab Emirates this week. Defending champion Rory McIlroy headlines the field, which includes Tommy Fleetwood, who won last week’s DP World Tour event, as well as 2023 Open Champion Brian Harman.
