PGA TOUR AND LPGA TOUR PLAYERS TEAM UP AT GRANT THORNTON INVITATIONAL THIS WEEK ON NBC, GOLF CHANNEL & PEACOCK

STAMFORD, Conn. – Dec. 6, 2023 – Players from the PGA TOUR and LPGA Tour will team up to compete in the inaugural Grant Thornton Invitational beginning this Friday, headlining this week’s live golf coverage on NBC, GOLF Channel and Peacock.

PGA/LPGA TOUR: GRANT THORNTON INVITATIONAL

The first playing of the Grant Thornton Invitational – a 54-hole, mixed team competition – will be held from Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, Fla. The event will showcase 16 teams each comprised of an LPGA and PGA TOUR player. Each round will feature a different format: Friday will be a scramble; Saturday will be foursomes (alternate shot); and Sunday will be a modified fourball.

Tony Finau, a six-time champion on the PGA TOUR, will pair up with 2020 Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda. Also, Rickie Fowler and 11-time champion on the LPGA Tour Lexi Thompson are expected to team up this weekend.

Live tournament coverage begins Friday at 1 p.m. ET on GOLF Channel and Peacock. GOLF Channel and Peacock will have Saturday and Sunday lead-in coverage, leading into live coverage on NBC and Peacock. This week’s coverage will include reporter Amy Rogers conducting live on-course walk-and-talk interviews with the teams.

DP WORLD TOUR: ALFRED DUNHILL CHAMPIONSHIP

The DP World Tour’s Alfred Dunhill Championship will be held at Leopard Creek Country Club in Malelane, South Africa, this week. 2011 Masters Champion and South Africa native Charl Schwartzel has won this event four times, including in 2012, when he won by a record 12 strokes after shooting 24-under par for the week. The number one-ranked amateur golfer in the world, Christo Lamprecht, is also expected to compete this weekend.

Live coverage gets underway Thursday at 5 a.m. ET on GOLF Channel.
