STAMFORD, Conn. – Oct. 12, 2023 – NBC Sports’ presentation of the 2023 Rugby World Cup from France - featuring every match live on Peacock - continues this weekend with the start of the Quarterfinals, highlighted by the All Blacks of New Zealand facing off against World No. 1 Ireland this Saturday, Oct. 14, at 3 p.m. ET along with host nation France taking on defending champion South Africa this Sunday, Oct. 15, at 3 p.m. ET, with both matches live exclusively on Peacock.

Saturday’s Ireland-New Zealand match will be a repeat of the 2019 Rugby World Cup’s Quarterfinal, which saw the All Blacks win 46-14 en route to a third-place finish. Ireland, currently ranked World No. 1, went undefeated in pool play (4-0) and looks to bring home the country’s first Rugby World Cup championship.

On Sunday, host nation France, currently ranked World No. 2, takes on defending champion and World No. 3 South Africa in a meeting of global heavyweights. France, undefeated in pool play, took down the All Blacks in the tournament’s opening match on September 8; New Zealand then went on to win three consecutive matches to vault themselves into the Quarterfinals.

In total, four matches will be presented live this weekend with four additional top-ten teams in action, featuring World No. 7 Wales taking on World No. 8 Argentina this Saturday, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m. ET live on Peacock. An encore presentation will be broadcast later that day at 1 p.m. ET on NBC. On Sunday, Oct. 15, No. 6 England faces No. 10 Fiji at 11 a.m. ET live on Peacock, with an encore presentation later that day at Noon ET on NBC.

NBC Sports’ remaining 2023 Rugby World Cup match schedule is below.

Next weekend, Peacock will exclusively stream both semifinal matches live at 3 p.m. ET on Friday, Oct. 20, and Saturday, Oct. 21. The Final will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28, from Stade de France at Noon ET live on Peacock and CNBC.

This year’s tournament is hosted by France, as the country prepares to host the 2024 Olympics in July of next year in its capital city of Paris. All Rugby World Cup matches are being held throughout the country at Stade de France, Stade de Toulouse, Stade de Marseille, OL Stadium, Stade Pierre-Mauroy, Stade de Bordeaux, Stade Geoffroy-Guichard, Stade de Nice, and Stade de la Beaujoire.

The remaining teams in this year’s Rugby World Cup are: Ireland, France, South Africa, New Zealand, England, Wales, Argentina, and Fiji.

Former USA Rugby captain Dan Lyle and Alex Corbisiero, who played internationally for England, will serve as studio hosts. Lyle was the captain of Team USA in the 1999 Rugby World Cup and was also a member of the team in the 2003 Rugby World Cup. Corbisiero represented England in the 2011 Rugby World Cup.
