STAMFORD, Conn. – Oct. 2, 2023 – Seven-time Olympic medalist Simone Biles headlines NBC Sports’ presentation of the 2023 World Gymnastics Championships, with six consecutive days of live coverage on Peacock beginning tomorrow, Oct. 3, at 1:30 p.m. ET from the Sportpaleis in Antwerp, Belgium.

Peacock will present live coverage of all final events throughout the week, concluding with Day 2 of live apparatus finals on Sunday, Oct. 8, at 8 a.m. ET.

The U.S. women’s team is led by Biles, competing in her first World Championships since 2019 and a U.S. record sixth overall. The most decorated gymnast in World Championships history, she has 25 world medals, including 19 gold. A five-time world all-around champion, she is expected to contend for her record sixth championship in that event in Antwerp.

The U.S. women’s team also includes defending world all-around silver medalist Shilese Jones, 2022 world team champions Skye Blakely and Leanne Wong, and 2023 U.S. vault champion Joscelyn Roberson. The team will look to extend its record streak to seven consecutive world team titles.

The U.S. men’s team is comprised of Tokyo Olympian and 2017 U.S. all-around champion Yul Moldauer, 2023 U.S. all-around champion Asher Hong, three-time NCAA champion Fred Richard, and two-time NCAA champions Khoi Young and Paul Juda. Richard and Juda are currently teammates at the University of Michigan, while Hong and Young are teammates at Stanford.

The top nine countries in the team qualifications, not including teams that qualified at last year’s World Championships, will earn team quota places for the 2024 Paris Olympics. The U.S. men will look to qualify for Paris at this event (the U.S. women have already qualified). The gymnasts representing the U.S. in Paris will be chosen following the 2024 U.S. Olympic Team Trials next June.

Steve Schlanger serves as play-by-play alongside analysts 1984 Los Angeles Olympic team gold medalist Tim Daggett and 2008 Beijing Olympic team silver medalist Samantha Peszek. Three-time U.S. Olympian John Roethlisberger serves as reporter.

CNBC will present an encore presentation of the women’s team final on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 2 p.m. ET while NBC will present an encore presentation of the women’s all-around final on Saturday, Oct. 14, at Noon ET.
