STAMFORD, Conn. – Sept. 21, 2023 – NBC Sports presents live coverage of the 18th Solheim Cup, featuring the top women’s golfers from the United States and Europe, this Friday through Sunday, headlining live golf coverage this week on GOLF Channel and Peacock.

LPGA TOUR & LADIES EUROPEAN TOUR: SOLHEIM CUP

The biennial Solheim Cup will be held in Spain for the first time at Finca Cortesin in the Andalucia region of Spain, as the Americans look to avenge a 15-13 loss to the Europeans in the 2021 Solheim Cup at The Inverness Club. The event consists of 28 matches over three days, and Europe has a 5-3 record as the host country, winning at home most recently in 2019 at Gleneagles in Scotland.

Six members of the United States team have won major championships, including Lilia Vu, who won the 2023 Chevron Championship and 2023 AIG Women’s Open; Allisen Corpuz, who won the 2023 U.S. Women’s Open; and Nelly Korda, Olympic gold medalist and winner of the 2021 KPGA Women’s PGA Championship. The U.S. team is captained by Stacy Lewis, a veteran of four Solheim Cup teams.

Eight members of the winning 2021 European team return this year, including Celine Boutier, Charley Hull and Leona Maguire. The squad is led by two-time major champion Suzann Pettersen, who played in nine Solheim Cups

The Solheim Cup Opening Ceremony will be shown live on Thursday’s edition of Golf Today beginning at 11:30 a.m. ET on GOLF Channel. Live pre-game coverage will air Friday at 1:30 a.m. ET and Sunday at 4 a.m. ET, leading into the final singles matches.

NBC Sports’ broadcast team includes a pair of World Golf Hall of Famers in Judy Rankin, who twice captained the Americans to victory in 1996 and 1998, and Juli Inkster, who played in nine Solheim Cups and has the most wins by any American in Solheim Cup history.

Sunday’s presentation of the singles matches on GOLF Channel and Peacock will feature Uninterrupted Coverage presented by KPMG, going commercial-free for an hour once all 12 singles matches are on the course to provide maximum coverage while the most action is ongoing. KPMG will have branded graphics and mentions as the presenting sponsor of Sunday’s Uninterrupted Coverage.
