STAMFORD, Conn. – August 22, 2023 – Simone Biles and Suni Lee – the last two women’s Olympic all-around champions — headline NBC Sports’ live coverage of the 2023 Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships from the SAP Center in San Jose, Calif., beginning tomorrow at 8 p.m. ET on Peacock with the first of two days of competition featuring the senior men. With both Biles and Lee competing, it marks the first time ever that two Olympic all-around gold medalists will take part in a U.S. Gymnastics Championship.

This week’s competition is highlighted by Biles, the most decorated American gymnast in Olympic and world championship history. After taking a two-year hiatus from competition after winning two e medals at the Tokyo Olympics, she returned to competitive gymnastics earlier this month at the Core Hydration Classic where she finished first in the all-around and performed her history-making Yurchenko double pike vault.

Lee also made a comeback to elite gymnastics at the Core Hydration Classic after spending two seasons in the collegiate ranks at Auburn University.

Additionally, Tokyo Olympic floor exercise gold medalist Jade Carey, Tokyo Olympic team silver medalist Jordan Chiles, and world medalists Skye Blakely, Kayla DiCello, Shilese Jones, and Leanne Wong are all expected to compete.

On the men’s side, Tokyo Olympians Yul Moldauer and Shane Wiskus, along with Core Hydration Classic men’s all-around champion Asher Hong and 2023 NCAA all-around champion Fred Richard (Michigan), are all expected to take the floor this week.

Results at this week’s U.S. Championships will factor into the selection process for the 2023 World Championships, taking place from September 30-October 8 in Antwerp, Belgium. Programming details will be announced at a later date. A live multi-view stream, showing all apparatuses in use, will also be available on Peacock for each of the four competition sessions this week^.

Terry Gannon will serve as play-by-play alongside three-time U.S. Olympic gymnast John Roethlisberger, 2008 Beijing Olympic team silver medalist Samantha Peszek, and two-time 1984 Los Angeles Olympic medalist Tim Daggett.
