Two-Part Peacock Exclusive Series Follows Reigning 200m World Champion Noah Lyles During 2023 Outdoor Track Season

Series Provides Behind-the-Scenes Look at One of the Fastest Humans Alive as He Prepares for Paris 2024 Olympic Games
STAMFORD, Conn. – July 5, 2023 – Reigning 200m world champion Noah Lyles will be the centerpiece of NBC Sports’ two-part docuseries, Untitled: The Noah Lyles Project, premiering later this summer exclusively on Peacock. The series will give viewers unprecedented access of the Tokyo Olympic 200m bronze medalist as he embarks on a pivotal 2023. Lyles will attempt to defend his 200m world title and says he is aiming to break eight-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt’s vaunted 200m world record – all while serving as one of the faces of U.S. track & field just one year before the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Untitled: The Noah Lyles Project is produced by NBC Sports in partnership with Global Athletics & Marketing, Inc. The two-part documentary will be directed by Scott Boggins, who has worked on acclaimed series such as HBO’s 24/7 and Showtime’s The Circus, with NBC Sports’ Jack Felling and Jim Thompson serving as showrunners.
Part One of the series will premiere on Friday, August 18, exclusively on Peacock, and just one day before Lyles will begin his 200m title defense at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest. Part Two will premiere on Friday, September 15, one day before the Diamond League Final at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
Untitled: The Noah Lyles Project will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at Lyles’ 2023 outdoor season. Notable moments already captured in Part One include Lyles’ 200m victory at the Racers Grand Prix in Kingston, Jamaica, which includes a special post-race conversation with the Jamaican legend himself, Usain Bolt – the very man whose 200m world record of 19.19 Lyles is chasing. Part One will also include Lyles’ wins at the Paris Diamond League meet and the USATF NYC Grand Prix, a unique look at his home training base in Orlando, Fla., and will conclude with his performance at the upcoming USATF Outdoor Championships. Part Two will capture, among other moments, his title defense at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest.
“I’ve got big dreams and a great team that’s going to help me achieve them. There are titles I’m still chasing. Fastest Man Alive. World Record Holder. Olympic Champion,” said Lyles. “For me, the project ahead is all about doing whatever it takes to fairly earn those titles. This show is my attempt to let fans see how hard I’m working to get there.”
A high school phenom who turned professional after graduating in 2016, Lyles quickly made a name for himself as one of the world’s best, winning double gold in the 200m and 4x100m relay at the 2019 World Championships. Entering the Tokyo Olympics as the prohibitive favorite in the 200m, Lyles took home the bronze medal for the U.S. He then went on to have a historic 2022 season that saw him break four-time Olympic gold medalist Michael Johnson’s 26-year-old 200m American record with an astonishing 19.31 en route to re-capturing his 200m world title – all in front of a raucous home crowd at Hayward Field – and giving him a realistic chance to break Bolt’s record and win gold in Paris.
