STAMFORD, Conn. – May 24, 2023 – With the 2022-23 TV season wrapping up tonight, NBC’s Sunday Night Football finishes as primetime’s #1 TV show in all key metrics for an unprecedented 12th consecutive year – adding to its record for the most consecutive years atop the charts (since 1950), based on official live plus same day data provided by Nielsen. Sunday Night Football also ranked as the No. 1 show in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic for the 13th consecutive TV season.

NBC Sunday Night Football posted a Total Audience Delivery average of 19.9 million viewers in 2022, according to official live plus same day data released by Nielsen, and digital data from Adobe Analytics.

LED BY PEACOCK, RECORD-SETTING SNF STREAMING TOPPED 1 MILLION AVERAGE MINUTE AUDIENCE (AMA) FOR FIRST TIME

Led by Peacock, NBC Sports Digital hit another viewership milestone for Sunday Night Football in 2022, delivering a full-season Average Minute Audience above 1 million viewers (1.17 million) for the first time across Peacock, NBCSports.com, the NBC Sports app, and NFL Digital properties – up 38% from the prior record (843,000) set last year.

SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL IS AGAIN HOME TO BEST & BRIGHTEST IN 2023 ON NBC & PEACOCK

This season’s SNF schedule is jam-packed with the league’s star signal callers, 10 matchups featuring two ’22 playoff teams, and an SNF-high three appearances apiece by the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys.

It all begins on Thurs., Sept. 7, as NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, winners of two of the last four Super Bowls, raise their championship banner before hosting Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions. The schedule then Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers meeting for the first time as the Chiefs visit the Jets (Week 4), three Playoff rematches, and the record 16th Eagles-Cowboys matchup on Sunday Night Football (Week 14). Then it’s on to the postseason, where NBCUniversal on Jan. 13-14 (Wild Card Weekend) becomes the first media company to present three NFL playoffs games in a single weekend, before concluding with a Divisional Playoff game one week later.
