The U.S. contingent competing in Torino is headlined by Malinin and Levito. Malinin has had a breakout year in his debut on the senior Grand Prix circuit, with his winning score of 280.37 at Skate America ranking as the best men’s score of the season. The 15-year-old rising star Levito has notched a pair of second place finishes at Skate America and Grand Prix Great Britain in her first season competing on the senior level. The pairs’ skating duo of Alexa Knierim and Brandon Frazier, who won both Skate America and Grand Prix Great Britain, look to finish strong in a year that saw them take gold at the World Championships and a team medal at the Beijing Olympics. Three-time U.S. champions Madison Chock and Evan Bates will compete in the ice dance field this weekend.

The U.S. is set to compete against a strong international field highlighted by three-time Olympic medalist Shoma Uno (Japan). The reigning world champion won Skate Canada and Grand Prix Japan for his seventh and eighth career Grand Prix victories.  Beijing Olympic bronze medalist Kaori Sakamoto (Japan), 2022 world silver medalist Loena Hendrickx (Belgium), and the 2021 world bronze medalist ice dance team of Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier (Canada) are also expected to compete this weekend.
