STAMFORD, Conn. – Nov. 23, 2022 – NBC Sports’ coverage of the 2022-23 figure skating season continues this weekend with 2022 Grand Prix Finland, the penultimate event of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, beginning Friday, Nov. 25, at 6 a.m. ET live exclusively on Peacock from Espoo Metro Arena in Espoo, Finland. The entire competition, including every skater in every discipline, can be streamed live on Peacock.

The U.S. boasts a strong field traveling to Finland, highlighted by 2022 U.S. silver medalist Ilia Malinin, the 17-year-old phenom who this fall became the first skater in history to land a quad Axel jump, and who won 2022 Skate America in his senior Grand Prix debut in October. Joining Malinin this weekend is 2018 Pyeongchang team bronze medalist Bradie Tennell and 2018 U.S. junior champion Camden Pulkinen, who finished fifth at the 2022 World Championships. The Beijing Olympic ice dance team of Kaitlin Hawayek and Jean-Luc Baker is also expected to compete. Hawayek and Baker, as well as Malinin, can qualify for December’s Grand Prix Final with strong performances this weekend.

The U.S. is set to compete against a strong international field led by two-time Olympian Loena Hendrickx (Belgium). The first-ever World and Grand Prix medalist in the women’s discipline for Belgium, she won 2022 Grand Prix France earlier this month – her first Grand Prix gold medal. Two-time Olympians Keegan Messing (Canada) and Moris Kvitelashvili (Georgia) are also expected to compete this weekend in the men’s event, along with the 2021 world bronze medalists Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier (Canada) in ice dance.

An encore highlights presentation of 2022 Grand Prix Finland will air on NBC on Sunday, Nov. 27, at 3:30 p.m. ET. Terry Gannon will handle play-by-play while 1998 Nagano Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski and three-time U.S. champion Johnny Weir will serve as analysts for Sunday’s show on NBC.
