NBC Sports Presents More Than 200 Hours of Figure Skating Coverage from October to April

STAMFORD, Conn. – Nov. 9, 2022 – NBC Sports’ coverage of the 2022-23 figure skating season continues this weekend with 2022 Grand Prix Great Britain, the fourth event of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, beginning Friday, Nov. 11, at 1 p.m. ET live exclusively on Peacock from iceSheffield in Sheffield, England. The entire competition, including every skater in every discipline, can be streamed live on Peacock.

Reigning pairs’ world champions Alexa Knierim and Brendan Frazier, both 2022 Beijing Olympic team medalists, along with 2018 Pyeongchang team bronze medalist and two-time U.S. champion Bradie Tennell, highlight the U.S. field expected to compete this weekend. Tennell is joined in the women’s field by rising U.S. star Isabeau Levito, who finished second at Skate America last month. Knierim and Frazier, who won Skate America and are the first U.S. pair to win a world title since 1979, can secure their spot in December’s Grand Prix Final with a strong showing this weekend.

You Young (South Korea), who finished sixth overall at the 2022 Beijing Olympics, leads a competitive international contingent at 2022 Grand Prix Great Britain. Beijing Olympians Daniel Grassl (Italy), Moris Kvitelashvili (Georgia), Anastasiya Gubanova (Georgia), and Deniss Vasiljevs (Latvia) are also expected to compete.

An encore highlights presentation of 2022 Grand Prix Great Britain will air on NBC on Sunday, Nov. 13, at 4 p.m. ET. Terry Gannon will handle play-by-play while 1998 Nagano Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski and three-time U.S. champion Johnny Weir will serve as analysts for Sunday’s show on NBC.

NBC Sports and U.S. Figure Skating recently announced the schedule for the 2022-23 figure skating season, featuring more than 200 hours of coverage from October to April, including the 2023 Toyota U.S. Figure Skating Championships and the ISU World Figure Skating Championships.
