STAMFORD, Conn. – Nov. 3, 2022 – The Notre Dame Fighting Irish (5-3) host the No. 4 Clemson Tigers (8-0) in a primetime matchup this Saturday, Nov. 5, at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Ind., at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.

The undefeated Tigers face a Fighting Irish team that has won five of its last six games. The two programs’ last regular season meeting was in 2020 when the No. 4 Fighting Irish defeated the No. 1 Tigers 47-40 in double-overtime in college football’s most-watched game of the 2020 regular season. Clemson holds a 4-2 all-time series advantage over Notre Dame.

The Fighting Irish beat then-No. 16 Syracuse Orange, 41-24, at the JMA Wireless Dome in Syracuse, N.Y., last Saturday to win their 26th consecutive regular-season game against ACC opponents. Tight end Michael Mayer became Notre Dame’s all-time tight ends receiving yards leader on his way to making three receptions for 54 yards. Running back Audric Estime rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns.

No. 4 Clemson beat then-No. 14 Syracuse, 27-21, at home on Oct. 22 prior to their bye last week. Running back Will Shipley ran for 172 yards and two touchdowns and running back Phil Mafah added 94 yards and a score on the ground in the come-from-behind victory.

NBC Sports’ Jac Collinsworth (play-by-play) and Jason Garrett (game analyst) will call the primetime matchup with Zora Stephenson (sideline reporter) and Terry McAulay (rules analyst).

Kathryn Tappen will host halftime and postgame coverage from Notre Dame Stadium alongside guest analysts and alums Julian Love (Notre Dame) and Levon Kirkland (Clemson). Throughout the season, Tappen will be joined each game by alums from the Fighting Irish and their opponent.

Julian Love currently plays safety and is a team captain for the New York Giants. Love set the Fighting Irish record for pass breakups with 44 and totaled 176 tackles and five interceptions at Notre Dame.

11-year NFL veteran Levon Kirkland spent nine seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers and one each with the Seattle Seahawks and Philadelphia Eagles.
