NBC Sports Presents More Than 200 Hours of Figure Skating Coverage from October to April

STAMFORD, Conn. – Oct. 27, 2022 – NBC Sports’ coverage of the 2022-23 figure skating season continues this weekend with 2022 Skate Canada, beginning Friday, Oct. 28, at 2 p.m. ET live exclusively on Peacock from Paramount Fine Foods Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. The entire competition, including every skater in every discipline, can be streamed live on Peacock.

World junior bronze medalist Lindsay Thorngren, who is set to make her senior Grand Prix debut this weekend, along with 2018 U.S. junior champion Camden Pulkinen, who finished fifth at the 2022 World Championships, are expected to headline the men’s and women’s individual events for the Americans. Jimmy Ma and the ice dance team of Caroline Green and Michael Parsons are among the others expected to compete for the U.S.

On the international side, Olympic medalists Shoma Uno (Japan), Gabby Daleman (Canada), and Riku Miura/Ryuichi Kihara (Japan) are all expected to compete this weekend. Uno won two medals at the Beijing Olympics, including bronze in men’s singles, and a month later won his first career world title at the 2022 World Championships.

An encore presentation of 2022 Skate Canada will air on NBC on Sunday, Oct. 30, at Noon ET. Terry Gannon will handle play-by-play while 1998 Nagano Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski and three-time U.S. champion Johnny Weir will serve as analysts for Sunday’s show on NBC.

NBC Sports and U.S. Figure Skating recently announced the schedule for the 2022-23 figure skating season, featuring more than 200 hours of coverage from October to April, including the 2023 Toyota U.S. Figure Skating Championships and the ISU World Figure Skating Championships.
