Marks Third-to-Last Competition of 2022 Diamond League Season

STAMFORD, Conn. – August 23, 2022 – Noah Lyles, Michael Norman, Grant Holloway, and Ryan Crouser – all four of whom won individual gold medals at the World Track & Field Championships Oregon22 in July – headline NBC Sports’ live coverage of the 2022 Diamond League meet from Lausanne, Switzerland, this Friday, August 26, beginning at 2 p.m. ET on Peacock. An encore presentation will air Saturday at 1 p.m. ET.

Lyles headlines an elite crew of World Championship medalists that are set to compete at the Stade Olympique de la Pontaise on Friday. Lyles, who set the American record in the 200m earlier this summer, is expected to face off against 400m world champion Norman and 200m bronze medalist Erriyon Knighton in a re-match of the trio’s Diamond League race in Monaco earlier this month that saw Lyles take the win in a meet-record of 19.46.

110m hurdles world champion Grant Holloway and bronze medalist Trey Cunningham are expected to toe the line against Tokyo Olympic champion Hansle Parchment (Jamaica), while 2022 shot put world champion and world record holder Ryan Crouser will compete against fellow Americans 2022 silver medalist Joe Kovacs and bronze medalist Josh Awotunde – the three men who swept the shot put podium at the World Championships in July. Other notable Americans expected to compete include 2022 pole vault silver medalist Sandi Morris, 2022 400m hurdles bronze medalist Dalilah Muhammad, and two-time Olympic triple jump champion Christian Taylor

On the international side, the Jamaican trio that swept the 100m World Championship podium is back in action, with 2022 100m world champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, 2022 200m world champion Shericka Jackson, and five-time Olympic gold medalist Elaine Thompson-Herah looking to continue their dominant summer in the women’s 100m. Other notable athletes expected to compete include 2022 triple jump world champion and world record holder Yulimar Rojas (Venezuela), 2022 5000m world champion and 1500m silver medalist Jakob Ingebrigtsen (Norway), 2022 100m hurdles world champion Tobi Amusan (Nigeria), 2022 steeplechase world champion Soufiane El Bakkali (Morocco), and Olympic 5000/10,000m gold medalist Sifan Hassan (Netherlands).

NBC Sports’ Paul Swangard will call the event, joined by four-time Olympic medalist Ato Boldon and 2004 U.S. Olympian Carrie Tollefson.
