STAMFORD, Conn. – July 25, 2022 – The nation’s top swimmers meet this week for the Phillips 66 National Swimming Championships at William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center in Irvine, Calif., headlined by 10-time Olympic medalist and world record holder Katie Ledecky, two-time Olympic medalist Leah Smith, and two-time Olympic gold medalists Zach Apple and Bobby Finke.

NBC Sports’ daily live coverage of the Championships begins tomorrow, July 26, at 8 p.m. ET on Peacock and Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA and continues through the final day of competition on Saturday, July 30. NBC and CNBC will both present three hours of encore coverage. NBC will air a two-hour encore on Sunday, July 31, at 12 p.m. ET, as well as an hour-long program on Saturday, Aug. 6, at 3 p.m. ET. CNBC will present two hour-and-a-half long encores on Saturday, July 30, at 1 p.m. ET as well as on Sunday, July 31, at 5 p.m. ET. All television coverage will also be presented on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app via authentication.

Highlights of this five-day championship include Ledecky in the 800m freestyle on Tuesday, an event in which she holds the world record, Apple in the 200m free on Wednesday, Smith in the 400 IM on Thursday, and Finke competing in both events that he won at the Tokyo Olympics last year, the 1500m free on Tuesday and the 800m free on Saturday.

Other notable athletes expected to compete include Tokyo Olympic gold medalist Michael Andrew, Tokyo Olympic silver medalist Claire Curzan, and Tokyo Olympic bronze medalist Kieran Smith.
