PARIS 2024 OLYMPICS SKATEBOARDING QUALIFIERS STREAM LIVE EXCLUSIVELY ON PEACOCK THIS SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

Held Beside The Colosseum in Rome, the World Skate Street Skateboarding Rome Pro Tour Marks the First Paris 2024 Olympic Skateboarding Qualifier

American Nyjah Huston, Tokyo Olympic Gold Medalists Yuto Horigome and Momiji Nishiya and a Host of Tokyo Olympians Expected to Compete

STAMFORD, Conn. – June 30, 2022 – The first skateboarding qualification event for the Paris 2024 Olympics gets underway this weekend as Peacock presents exclusive live coverage of the 2022 World Skate Street Skateboarding Rome Pro Tour this Saturday and Sunday.

Held beside the historic Colosseum in Rome, Italy, this weekend’s coverage includes both the men’s and women’s semifinals on Saturday and the finals and awards ceremony on Sunday. Live coverage begins Saturday at 10:30 a.m. ET with the women’s semifinals.

The competition will serve as an Olympic qualifying event that will help determine which skaters will compete at the Paris 2024 Olympics by awarding points for their Olympic World Skateboarding Ranking.

The competition is expected to be highlighted by American Olympian Nyjah Huston, the No. 1 ranked skateboarder in the world. Five of the six street skateboarding medalists from the Tokyo Olympics are expected to compete this week: gold medalist Yuto Horigome (Japan) and silver medalist Kelvin Hoefler (Brazil) on the men’s side, and gold medalist Momiji Nishiya (Japan), 14-year-old silver medalist Rayssa Leal (Brazil), and bronze medalist Funa Nakayama (Japan) on the women’s side.
