STAMFORD, Conn. – June 23, 2022 – The USFL Playoffs feature the 9-1 Birmingham Stallions, who have the league’s top scoring differential (+65), against the league’s top scoring defense, the 6-4 New Orleans Breakers, in the South Division Final in primetime this Saturday at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio.

The top seed in the South Division, Birmingham swept New Orleans in their two matchups en route to a single-loss season, which was tied for the best record in the USFL (New Jersey Generals). The Stallions offense features league all-purpose yardage leader Victor Bolden Jr. (1,209).

New Orleans is led offensively by quarterback Kyle Sloter (1,798 passing yds) and running back Jordan Ellis, who led the league in rushing yards (596). The Breakers defense allowed the fewest points per game in the USFL (16.4).

The teams combined for 11 members of the All-USFL Team:

Birmingham: Bolden Jr. (both running back and special teams member), Cameron Hunt (offensive guard), DeMarquis Gates (linebacker), Brandon Aubrey (kicker)

New Orleans: Sloter (quarterback), Sal Cannella (tight end), Jared Thomas (center), Davin Bellamy (defensive end), Reggie Howard Jr. (defensive tackle), Jerod Fernandez (linebacker)

Jac Collinsworth will handle play-by-play alongside former Dallas Cowboys head coach and NFL quarterback Jason Garrett (analyst). Corey Robinson will serve as sideline reporter and Sara Perlman will host halftime coverage.

FOX will present the matinee North Division Final between the New Jersey Generals (9-1) and Philadelphia Stars (6-4) Saturday at 3 p.m. ET.

NBC Sports and FOX Sports, the USFL’s official media partners, will combine to present all 43 games live this inaugural season. For the 2022 USFL season, NBC Sports will present 22 games on NBC (9), USA Network (9), and Peacock (4), which will also stream all games broadcast on NBC. FOX Sports will carry 22 games split between FOX (14) and FS1 (8).
