Michigan Panthers vs. Pittsburgh Maulers Presented Sunday at Noon ET on USA Network

Inaugural USFL Playoffs Next Saturday – Birmingham Stallions vs. New Orleans Breakers in Primetime Semifinal at 8 p.m. ET on NBC & Peacock from Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio

STAMFORD, Conn. – June 16, 2022 – The final week of the USFL regular season features the North Division top seed New Jersey Generals (8-1) facing the Philadelphia Stars (6-3) in a playoff preview this Saturday at noon ET on USA Network from Legion Field in Birmingham, Ala.

New Jersey is on an eight-game winning streak and beat the Michigan Panthers, 25-23, last Saturday. The Generals offense features USFL leaders in rushing touchdowns Darius Victor (nine) and receiving yards KaVontae Turpin (472).

Philadelphia running back Matt Colburn II ran for 97 yards and a touchdown while cornerback Channing Stribling added to his league lead in interceptions (seven) with a first-quarter takeaway in the Stars’ 17-16 victory over the Pittsburgh Maulers last Sunday. New Jersey defeated Philadelphia 24-16 in Week 3 of the season.

Jac Collinsworth will handle play-by-play alongside former NFL fullback Michael Robinson (analyst) for the Stars-Generals game. Corey Robinson will serve as sideline reporter.

The Panthers play the Maulers in the regular season finale for both teams this Sunday at noon ET on USA Network at Legion Field. Michigan narrowly fell 25-23 to the Generals last week and Pittsburgh lost 17-16 to Philadelphia. The Panthers shut out the Maulers 24-0 in Week 3.

Paul Burmeister (play-by-play) and former Denver Broncos offensive lineman Ryan Harris (analyst) will call Sunday’s Panthers-Maulers matchup, with Robinson reporting from the sidelines.

The inaugural USFL Playoffs will be presented next Saturday, June 25, with a pair of matchups from Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio. The South Division top seed Birmingham Stallions (8-1) play the New Orleans Breakers (6-3) in primetime at 8 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock. FOX will present the matinee semifinal between the Stars and Generals at 3 p.m. ET.

NBC Sports and FOX Sports, the USFL’s official media partners, will combine to present all 43 games live this inaugural season. For the 2022 USFL season, NBC Sports will present 22 games on NBC (9), USA Network (9), and Peacock (4), which will also stream all games broadcast on NBC. FOX Sports will carry 22 games split between FOX (14) and FS1 (8). The combined regular-season coverage on NBC and FOX will give the USFL 22 broadcast windows, more than any regularly scheduled sport in the first half of 2022.
