Devon Allen, Joe Klecker, Valarie Allman, Alicia Monson, and a Host of Olympians Highlight Coverage of the Two Meets

STAMFORD, Conn. – June 14, 2022 – NBC Sports continues live coverage of the 2022 Diamond League track & field season this week, with the series’ sixth and seventh competitions in Oslo, Norway, and Paris, France, home of the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Live action begins in Oslo on Thursday, June 16, at 2 p.m. ET on Peacock with encore coverage of the event airing Saturday, June 18 at 8 a.m. ET on CNBC. Diamond League competition continues from Paris on Saturday at 2 p.m. ET on Peacock and CNBC.

OSLO DIAMOND LEAGUE – THURSDAY, JUNE 16

Two-time Olympian and three-time U.S. champion Devon Allen, who ran the third-fastest 110-meter hurdles time in world history at the USATF NYC Grand Prix last weekend, headlines an elite crew of American Olympians that are set to compete at the iconic Bislett Stadium on Thursday. Allen, a two-sport athlete at the University of Oregon, signed a contract with the Philadelphia Eagles in April and is currently focused on track until training camp begins later this summer. Tokyo Olympians Joe Klecker and Alicia Monson are expected to compete in the men’s and women’s 5,000 meters, respectively, with both athletes already qualified for the 10,000m at World Track & Field Championships Oregon22 after the U.S. held those event championships in May.

NBC Sports’ Paul Swangard will call the event, joined by four-time Olympic medalist Ato Boldon, two-time Olympic marathoner Des Linden, and three-time Olympic gold medalist Tianna Madison.

PARIS DIAMOND LEAGUE – SATURDAY, JUNE 18

Tokyo Olympic discus gold medalist and reigning Diamond League champion Valarie Allman, fresh off a first-place finish in the event at the Prefontaine Classic in May, is expected to headline this meet for the Americans, along with two-time world champion pole vaulter and 2016 Olympic bronze medalist Sam Kendricks. On the international side, Tokyo Olympic gold medalists Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce (Jamaica), Shaunae Miller-Uibo (Bahamas), Steven Gardiner (Bahamas), Selemon Barega (Ethiopia), and Emmanuel Korir (Kenya) are also expected to compete.

Swangard will call the event, joined by Boldon, Linden, and Madison.
