Steve Porino and Two-Time Olympic Gold Medalist Ted Ligety to Call World Cup Finals

STAMFORD, Conn. – March 15, 2022 – Two-time Olympic gold medalist and the winningest slalom skier in World Cup history Mikaela Shiffrin aims to win her fourth career Overall Crystal Globe at the 2021-22 FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup Finals from Courchevel, France, this Wednesday-Sunday exclusively on Peacock. NBC Sports’ live coverage, which totals 15.5 hours throughout the week, begins tomorrow with the men’s downhill at 5 a.m. ET and the women’s downhill at 6:30 a.m. ET. In addition to the downhill, coverage will include the men’s and women’s slalom, giant slalom, Super-G, and team event.

Shiffrin currently has a tight 56-point lead in the overall points standings over rival Petra Vlhova (Slovakia). With a fourth overall World Cup championship, Shiffrin would tie Lindsey Vonn for the most Crystal Globes won by an American skier. In addition, she looks to add to her individual World Cup medal count, where she has a chance to earn top-three finishes in slalom, giant slalom and Super-G.

Shiffrin will be joined by U.S. Ski teammate and fellow Beijing Olympian Paula Moltzan in Courchevel. On the men’s side, the U.S. Ski Team contingent will be highlighted by Beijing Olympians Bryce Bennett, Travis Ganong, River Radamus, and Beijing Olympics silver medalist Ryan Cochran-Siegle.

Former U.S. Ski team racer Steve Porino (play-by-play) will call the World Cup Finals with two-time Olympic gold medalist Ted Ligety (analyst).
