NBC SPORTS AND PGA TOUR UNVEIL NEW GOLF CHANNEL LOGO

New Channel Brand Incorporates PGA TOUR Swingman Into GOLF Channel Logo

Debuts This Week at THE PLAYERS Championship; Serves as Network’s Main Channel Brand Throughout PGA TOUR and Studio Coverage

STAMFORD, Conn. – March 7, 2022 – NBC Sports and the PGA TOUR have unveiled the new logo and brand mark for GOLF Channel: Home of the PGA TOUR, which incorporates the well-known GOLF Channel logo with the iconic PGA TOUR “swingman.”

The combination of these two established brands results in the new GOLF Channel brand mark, which officially debuts across this week’s comprehensive live coverage of THE PLAYERS Championship.

“This is an incredible opportunity to bring golf’s iconic brands together,” said Jenny Storms, CMO, NBC Entertainment and Sports. “GOLF Channel is the TV home of golf in the U.S., and the PGA TOUR is home to the best male golfers on the planet. This new GOLF Channel logo represents the strong partnership between NBC Sports and the PGA TOUR and galvanizes the power of these brands.”

“We’re excited about the positive statement the new channel brand makes to our fans, players, tournaments and sponsors about the quality and quantity of PGA TOUR coverage produced throughout the season,” said Rick Anderson, PGA TOUR Chief Media Officer. “Additionally, this is another step in deepening the long-standing partnership between the PGA TOUR and NBC Sports.”

For tournament coverage outside of the PGA TOUR and DP World Tour, the most-recent iteration of the GOLF Channel logo will continue to be utilized.

In addition, NBC Sports will unveil a new programming mark for its LPGA coverage at the JTBC Classic Presented by Barbasol on GOLF Channel on March 24-27, which will be featured throughout LPGA Tour events.
