BEARS-PACKERS IS MOST WATCHED SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL GAME IN MORE THAN TWO MONTHS, TOPPING 19 MILLION VIEWERS

NBC’s Sunday Night Football Has Ranked #1 in Primetime in 13 of 14 Weeks This Season – Up from 10 of 14 Last Year

NBC Sports’ NFL Viewership Increases: SNF +11% vs. 2020, FNIA +16%

Packers Deliver Best NBC Sunday Night Rating in Milwaukee since 2018, Bears Post Best SNF Rating in Chicago since 2019

STAMFORD, Conn. – December 14, 2021 – The Green Bay Packers’ 45-30 Sunday Night Football victory over the Chicago Bears on NBC and Peacock last weekend, highlighted by Aaron Rodgers’ 341 passing yards with four touchdowns, is the most-watched Sunday night game since Tom Brady’s return to New England in Week 4 (Oct. 3).

In addition, NBC’s Sunday Night Football (including Bears-Packers) has ranked as primetime’s most-watched show in 13 of 14 weeks this season– up from 10 times through Week 14 in 2020.

Bears-Packers registered a Total Audience Delivery (TAD) average of 19.4 million viewers across NBC TV, Peacock, NBC Sports Digital, and NFL Digital platforms – up 10% from last year’s Week 14 SNF game (17.7 million TAD for Steelers-Bills, 12/13/20).

NBC’s TV coverage (8:23 p.m.-11:21 p.m. ET) averaged 18.6 million viewers, with a national TV household rating of 10.2/23 – up 6% from last year (9.6/20).

The Average Minute Audience (AMA) for Sunday night’s live stream via Peacock, NBC Sports Digital platforms, NFL Digital platforms, Bears and Packers mobile properties, and Yahoo Sports mobile properties was 788,000 viewers – up 38% from last year’s game (572,000).

For the season, Sunday Night Football is averaging a TAD of 19.2 million viewers – up 11% from last year at this time. Viewership for Football Night in America is up 16% from last season, with an average of 7.0 million viewers, easily retaining its spot as the most-watched studio show in sports.

Viewership figures are based upon official data from Nielsen and Adobe Analytics.

Milwaukee led all metered markets with a 47.1/69 rating – marking the highest Packers rating for an NBC Sunday night game in the market since the 2018 season opener (49.6/71 vs. Bears). The 27.0/47 rating in Chicago ranked second among all markets and is the best for a Bears SNF game since Week 11 in 2019 (28.9/46 at L.A. Rams).
