Live Competition Coverage Begins Friday at 5:30 a.m. ET on Peacock

Every Skater in Every Discipline Streamed Live on Peacock

STAMFORD, Conn. – Nov. 24, 2021 – U.S. Olympic hopeful Mariah Bell headlines NBC Sports’ coverage of Grand Prix Russia figure skating this weekend, beginning this Friday, Nov. 26 at 5:30 a.m. ET live on Peacock from Iceberg Skating Palace in Sochi, Russia, which hosted figure skating events during the 2014 Winter Olympics.

2020 U.S. silver medalist Mariah Bell, and 2015 world champion Yelizaveta Tuktamysheva and 2021 Skate Canada champion Kamila Valiyeva of Russia highlight the women’s event, while 2018 Olympic team event silver medalist Mikhail Kolyada of Russia is expected to headline the men’s field. Reigning world champions Anastasia Mishina and Aleksandr Gallyamov of Russia are expected to lead the pairs’ competition. In the ice dance event, three-time U.S. bronze medalists Kaitlin Hawayek and Jean-Luc Baker make their season debut and 2021 world champions Viktoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov of Russia are expected to lead the field. The U.S. is also represented in the men’s event by Camden Pulkinen and in the pairs’ event by Audrey Lu and Misha Mitrofanov.

The entire competition, including every skater in every discipline, can be streamed live on Peacock from Friday and Saturday.

NBC airs coverage this Sunday, Nov. 28 at 3 p.m. ET, and Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA will present encores of the competition next Monday and Tuesday in primetime at 8 p.m. ET and 9 p.m. ET.

Throughout Sunday’s NBC show and next week’s encore coverage, Terry Gannon handles play-by-play, joined by 1998 Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski and three-time U.S. champion Johnny Weir for the singles and pairs’ events, and by 2006 Olympic silver medalist Tanith White for ice dance.

NBC Sports and U.S. Figure Skating recently announced the broadcast schedule for the 2021-22 figure skating season, featuring more than 175 hours of coverage from October to April, in addition to NBCUniversal’s coverage of the 2022 Winter Olympics in February.
