NBC Sports Presents More Than 175 Hours of Figure Skating Coverage from October to April

STAMFORD, Conn. – Nov. 10, 2021 – U.S. Olympic hopefuls Alysa Liu, Vincent Zhou and more headline NBC Sports’ coverage of the Grand Prix Japan figure skating this weekend, beginning tomorrow, Thursday, Nov. 11 at 10:30 p.m. ET live on Peacock from Yoyogi National Stadium in Tokyo, Japan.

Two-time U.S. champion Liu, 2021 U.S. silver medalist Amber Glenn, and 2021 Skate America silver medalist Daria Usacheva of Russia are expected to headline the women’s event, while 2021 Skate America gold medalist and 2018 Olympian Zhou and 2018 Olympic silver medalist Shoma Uno of Japan are expected to highlight the men’s field. In the ice dance event, two-time U.S. Olympians Madison Chock and Evan Bates and 2021 World Champions Viktoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov of Russia headline the field. Highlighting the pairs’ event are reigning World Champions Anastasia Mishina and Aleksandr Gallyamov of Russia.

The entire competition, including every skater in every discipline, can be streamed live on Peacock from Thursday-Sunday.

NBC airs coverage this Sunday, Nov. 14 at 4 p.m. ET, and Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA will present encores of the competition next Monday through Thursday in primetime at 8 p.m. ET and 9 p.m. ET.

Throughout Saturday’s NBC show and next week’s encore coverage, Terry Gannon and Tanith White handle play-by-play, joined by 1998 Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski and three-time U.S. champion Johnny Weir.

Coverage on NBC is live streamed on NBCSports.com, and the NBC Sports app.

NBC Sports and U.S. Figure Skating recently announced the broadcast schedule for the 2021-22 figure skating season, featuring more than 175 hours of coverage from October to April, in addition to NBCUniversal’s coverage of the 2022 Winter Olympics in February.
