College Central Fall Golf Preview Presented This Afternoon at 4:30 p.m. ET on GOLF Channel

STAMFORD, Conn. – Sept. 7, 2021 – NBC Sports presents extensive coverage of top college golf tournaments this fall, totaling more than 90 hours, on GOLF Channel. Coverage will include the Maridoe Collegiate Invitational, the Blessings Collegiate Invitational, the debut of the Jackson T. Stephens Cup, and the seventh annual East Lake Cup.

This fall’s coverage begins with the Maridoe Collegiate Invitational from Maridoe Golf Club in Carrollton, Texas, next week on Sept. 13-15. Below is GOLF Channel’s full 2021 college golf tournament slate in September and October:

A special 30-minute edition of College Central previewing the slate of college golf tournament this fall will air this afternoon at 4:30 p.m. ET. Steve Burkowski will anchor coverage with Paige Mackenzie, Ryan Lavner and Brentley Romine.

College Central will provide pre-round coverage leading into all 2021 fall college events on GOLF Channel. All GOLF Channel coverage also streams on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app via “TV Everywhere,” giving consumers additional value for their subscription service, and making high quality content available to MVPD customers both in and out of the home and on multiple platforms.

MARIDOE COLLEGIATE INVITATIONAL

The Maridoe Collegiate Invitational presented by EasyPost is a 54-hole team and individual stroke play championship that features top Division I men’s golf programs across the country taking place at Maridoe Golf Club in Carrollton, Texas. The 2021 15-team tournament field features:

BLESSINGS COLLEGIATE INVITATIONAL

The second annual Blessings Collegiate Invitational presented by Tyson Foods from Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Ark., will be contested the first week of October. The tournament is a 54-hole stroke play competition for individual and team honors.

The 10-team tournament field, comprising women’s and men’s teams from each school, features Arkansas, Arizona, Houston, Illinois, Louisville, North Carolina, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas Tech, and UCLA. GOLF Channel will present live tournament coverage Monday-Wednesday from 4:30-7:30 p.m. ET.

JACKSON T. STEPHENS CUP

The first-ever playing of the Jackson T. Stephens Cup, named in memory of the late Augusta National Chairman, Jackson T. Stephens, will take place at The Alotian Golf Club in Roland, Ark., this October. The event is a 54-hole stroke play and team match play competition. The first 54 holes of stroke play will seed the men’s and women’s fields for a final 18 holes of match play.

The women’s field will include Arkansas, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Baylor, LSU and Virginia, and the men’s side will feature Notre Dame, Alabama, Florida State, Arizona, Arkansas, and San Diego State.

In addition to the 12 schools competing for team titles, 12 individual men and women collegiate players representing PGA Works, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and the U.S. Service Academies will also compete in the stroke play portion of the tournament.

GOLF Channel will present live tournament coverage all three days.

EAST LAKE CUP

The East Lake Cup presented by ZipRecruiter and Uber Eats, taking place in late October at historic East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, will feature the top-performing teams from the 2021 NCAA Women’s and Men’s Golf Championships. Modeled after the NCAA Golf Championships, the format for the East Lake Cup consists of an opening round of stroke play to crown an individual male and female champion and to determine seeding for the following two days of match play competition.

The women’s field for the seventh annual East Lake Cup will include Duke, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, and Arizona, while the men’s side will feature Oklahoma, Pepperdine, Oklahoma State, and Arizona State. GOLF Channel will present live tournament coverage Monday-Wednesday from 3-6 p.m. ET.

ANNIKA AND HASKINS AWARD PRESENTED BY STIFEL

GOLF Channel annually presents live coverage of the announcements of the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel and Haskins Award presented by Stifel winners, which honor the nation’s most outstanding female and male Division I collegiate golfer. The recently-announced preseason watch list for the ANNIKA award is headlined by reigning award winner Rachel Heck and No.1-ranked amateur Rose Zhang, while the Haskins Award preseason watch list includes seven players who attend a Texas school, including 2021 USA Walker Cup member Cole Hammer of the University of Texas.
