Peacock is Streaming Home of PLL This Season – Presenting Every Game

STAMFORD, Conn. – June 25, 2021 – The 2021 Premier Lacrosse League season is in Baltimore, Md., this weekend at Homewood Field for five matchups across NBCSN and Peacock. The first matchup of the weekend will feature the defending champion Whipsnakes LC against Atlas LC tonight at 8 p.m. ET on Peacock, with an encore presentation at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Atlas attackman Jeff Teat, the first overall pick in the 2021 PLL College Draft, will be making his professional lacrosse debut.

Saturday’s doubleheader features Redwoods LC facing Chaos LC at 5:15 p.m. ET on Peacock. Redwoods midfielder Kyle Harrison will be playing in his final game at Homewood Field, the home field of his alma mater, Johns Hopkins University. Redwoods teammate Rob Pannell leads the league in points (13). In the nightcap, co-standings leader Archers LC take on Waterdogs LC at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN and Peacock. Televised coverage will also stream on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app.

Sunday will feature a doubleheader exclusively on Peacock with Cannons LC facing Atlas LC at noon ET, and Chrome LC taking on Whipsnakes LC at 2:45 p.m. ET. Cannons attackman Lyle Thompson ranks tied for first in the league lead in goals scored (10), while teammate midfielder and PLL co-founder Paul Rabil is tied for third in goals (7).

Brendan Burke (play-by-play) and Class of 2019 National Lacrosse Hall of Fame inductee Ryan Boyle (analyst) will call all five matchups from Homewood Field alongside sideline reporter Corey Robinson.

Over the course of the 2021 season, NBC Sports will present 44 PLL matchups, marking an NBC Sports record for the most-ever professional lacrosse game coverage in a season. 21 games -- four on NBC and 17 on NBCSN -- sets a record for the most-ever professional lacrosse games on television in a season. 2021 marks the first season that Peacock is the streaming home of the Premier Lacrosse League, featuring live, streaming coverage of every game throughout the season, including 23 events that will stream exclusively on Peacock.

2021 marks the third season of the PLL and follows a momentous offseason that saw the league merge with Major League Lacrosse (MLL), add an expansion team in the Cannons LC, and bring in new stars from the MLL and college.

The 2021 PLL season spans 11 weeks across the country, featuring seven regular-season weekends, an all-star weekend and three playoff weekends. The playoffs begin on Friday, Aug. 20, and culminate with the Championship on Sunday, Sept. 19.
