STAMFORD, Conn. – June 24, 2021 – NBC Sports presents a NASCAR Cup Series doubleheader from Pocono Raceway this weekend, with pre-race coverage beginning Saturday and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. The Xfinity Series will kick off race coverage Sunday at noon ET on NBCSN.

NASCAR coverage will get underway at Pocono Raceway with Countdown to Green pre-race coverage Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET, leading into race coverage at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Coverage on Sunday gets underway with Xfinity Series race coverage at noon ET. Pre-race coverage begins with NASCAR America at 2:30 p.m. ET, followed by Countdown to Green at 3 p.m. ET, with the green flag slated to wave shortly following 3:30 p.m. ET. NBCSN will present post-race coverage at 6:30 p.m. ET immediately following the checkered flag.

NBC Sports’ lead NASCAR race announcer Rick Allen will call both the Cup and Xfinity Series races this weekend from Pocono Raceway alongside Daytona 500-winning crew chief Steve Letarte, 21-time Cup Series race winner and “The Mayor” of NASCAR Jeff Burton and Earnhardt Jr. Marty Snider, Kelli Stavast, and Dave Burns will serve as pit reporters.

NBC Sports’ Jac Collinsworth will host pre- and post-race coverage throughout the weekend from Pocono. He will be joined by 1999 NASCAR Cup Series champion Dale Jarrett and auto racing icon Kyle Petty from NBC Sports’ studios in Charlotte, N.C. NBC Sports motorsports reporter Rutledge Wood will provide reports from Charlotte throughout the weekend.

Kyle Larson, winner of the past three NASCAR Cup points races and current Cup Series Playoffs points leader, joins NBC Sports motorsports reporter Nate Ryan for an in-depth conversation on his return to racing, success at Hendrick Motorsports, family and his work with the Urban Youth Racing School during pre-race coverage on Saturday and Sunday. Ryan wrote a story on NASCAR Talk ahead of Larson’s most recent victory at Nashville Superspeedway.

NBC Sports began its coverage of the 2021 NASCAR season with the Cup Series’ return to Nashville last weekend. Sunday’s race at Nashville Superspeedway averaged a Total Audience Delivery (TAD) of 2.619 million viewers, up 8% vs. the last time NBC Sports’ season coverage opened in June (Chicagoland, 2019, 2.428 million TAD). Viewership was up 22% compared to last year’s weekend Cup Series average viewership on NBCSN (2.152 million viewers TAD). Saturday’s Xfinity Series race at Nashville Superspeedway on NBCSN produced a TAD of 1.069 million viewers, up 30% and 26% vs. NBCSN’s average Xfinity Series viewership in 2020 and 2019, respectively, ranking as NBCSN’s most-watched Xfinity Series race since Homestead in 2019 (1.211 million TAD). The 2021 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship is in Watkins Glen, N.Y. for the first of two consecutive weekends this Sunday with live comprehensive coverage of the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen at Watkins Glen International at 9:30 a.m. ET on NBC Sports digital platforms. An encore will be presented at 7 p.m. ET immediately following NASCAR coverage on NBCSN.

All five classes will be in action — Daytona Prototype International (DPi), GT Daytona (GTD), GT Le Mans (GTLM), Le Mans Prototype 3 (LMP3) and Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2). Seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson and 2019 Indianapolis 500 champion Simon Pagenaud will be competing in the DPi field, while 2006 NTT INDYCAR SERIES rookie Marco Andretti will compete in the LMP3 field in his first IMSA start since 2012 at Watkins Glen.

MOTOGP: DUTCH GRAND PRIX

The 2021 MotoGP season continues with the Dutch Grand Prix from TT Circuit Assen this Sunday at noon ET on NBC and an encore presentation at 10 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Yamaha rider Fabio Quartararo leads the points standings followed by Ducati riders Johann Zarco and Jack Miller. World Superbike rider Garrett Gerloff will be replacing the injured Franco Morbidelli for the Petronas Yamaha SRT team, becoming the first American to appear in a MotoGP race since Nicky Hayden in 2016.
