Peacock to Live Stream Coverage on NBCSN and Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA

STAMFORD, Conn. – June 22, 2021 – Simone Biles highlights NBC Olympics’ live coverage of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials for gymnastics this week, which begin with the men’s competition this Thursday, June 24 at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN and Peacock from The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Mo.

In total, NBC Olympics will present 10 hours of gymnastics coverage over four consecutive days and nights, including more than six hours on NBC. Live coverage culminates this Sunday, June 27, with primetime coverage of the women’s second night of competition at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.

In addition to streaming all 10 hours of television coverage, NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports app will present additional cameras on all apparatus during live coverage for a multi-view streaming experience.

Peacock will live stream NBCSN and Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA coverage of the U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Team Trials.

Terry Gannon (play-by-play) will call this week’s action, alongside analysts five-time Olympic medalist and 2008 Olympic all-around champion Nastia Liukin and two-time Olympic medalist Tim Daggett. Andrea Joyce will serve as the reporter. Mike Tirico and two-time Olympic medalist Laurie Hernandez will join for the women’s competitions.

The women’s team, which has won gold in the team all-around at the past two Olympic Games, is expected to be led by the most decorated American gymnast in history and four-time Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles, who won her record seventh national all-around title earlier this month and has a chance to tie or break the all-time record for gold medals won by a U.S. woman (eight). Others expected to be alongside Biles at the Team Trials include four-time world medalist Jade Carey, who has mathematically secured an individual spot for Tokyo, as well as three-time world medalist at the 2019 World Championships Suni Lee, who placed second behind Biles in the all-around at the 2021 U.S. Gymnastics Championships, and Jordan Chiles, who placed second behind Biles in the all-around at last month’s 2021 U.S. Classic. There are five Olympic spots still available for the U.S. women at Trials – four women will be chosen to compete in the team event at the Tokyo Olympics, and one additional gymnast will be selected to compete as an individual in Tokyo. Those five spots, plus Jade Carey, will comprise the U.S. women’s gymnastics Olympic delegation.

On the men’s side, Team USA is anticipated to be led 2021 U.S. all-around champion Brody Malone. Other favorites to make the four-man Olympic team include two-time Olympian and six-time U.S. all-around champion Sam Mikulak and 2017 U.S. all-around champion Yul Moldauer.  In addition to the four team spots, a fifth gymnast will be named at Trials to compete as an individual in Tokyo.
