NBC’S “SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL” WINS UNPRECEDENTED 11TH SPORTS EMMY FOR OUTSTANDING LIVE SPORTS SERIES
Michele Tafoya Wins Fourth Sports Emmy in Outstanding Sports Personality – Sports Reporter Category
SNF Wins for Outstanding Live Event Audio/Sound
NEW YORK, NY – June 9, 2021 – NBC’s Sunday Night Football, primetime television’s No. 1 show for an unprecedented 10 consecutive years, last night won the Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Live Sports Series. The win was the 11th in the category for NBC SNF – the most for any live series in sports TV history.
In addition, Sunday Night Football sideline reporter Michele Tafoya was named Outstanding Sports Personality – Sports Reporter. Tafoya has earned the honor four times and is the only finalist in the category in each of the 10 years of the award’s existence.
NBC’s SNF also was honored with the Sports Emmy for Outstanding Live Event Audio/Studio.
In its 15 seasons (2006-20), NBC’s Sunday Night Football has won 30 Sports Emmys.
