STAMFORD, Conn. – June 3, 2021 – A star-studded field featuring Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer headlines NBC Sports’ live coverage of the third and fourth rounds of 2021 Roland-Garros matches from Paris, France, this weekend on NBC and Peacock.

Coverage begins with the third round this Saturday, June 5 at Noon ET on NBC and continues exclusively on Peacock beginning at 2 p.m. ET. On Sunday, June 6, NBC presents a fourth-round match at Noon ET, followed by exclusive coverage on Peacock beginning at 2 p.m. ET. This Monday, June 7, Peacock presents an exclusive fourth-round match at 3 p.m. ET.

The men’s draw is highlighted by Nadal, who has won a record 13 Roland-Garros titles (2005-2008, 2010-2014, 2017-2020), including the past four, Djokovic, who lost to Nadal in the Final at Roland-Garros last year and won the first Grand Slam of 2021 at the Australian Open in February, and Federer, who seeks his second career Roland-Garros title (2009) after missing last year’s tournament due to injury. Federer also is returning to Grand Slam competition for the first time since the 2020 Australian Open. Four American men have advanced to the third round at Roland-Garros: John Isner, Reilly Opelka, Steve Johnson, and Marcos Giron.

On the women’s side, Serena Williams, who has the most career Grand Slam titles in the Open Era with 23, advances to the third round with a matchup versus fellow American Danielle Collins. On Saturday, 17-year-old Coco Gauff will play Jennifer Brady in a third-round matchup. 2018 French Open runner-up Sloane Stephens moves into the third round after defeating ninth-seeded Karolína Plíšková in straight sets, while 2020 Roland-Garros finalist Sofia Kenin faces Jessica Pegula, the daughter of Buffalo Bills and Sabres owners Terry and Kim Pegula, in the third round. Iga Świątek looks to continue her title defense after winning the 2020 tournament as a 19-year-old.

With a victory in the third round on Friday, Williams would advance to the fourth round Sunday. Djokovic, Federer, and Świątek will all play in the third round Saturday. Nadal is facing Richard Gasquet in the second round this afternoon.

Dan Hicks handles play-by-play this weekend alongside analysts Mary Carillo and John McEnroe, who teamed to win the mixed doubles title at the 1977 French Open. McEnroe is a seven-time Grand Slam singles champion.

NBC Sports’ live coverage culminates with the women’s final on Saturday, June 12 at 9 a.m. ET and the men’s final Sunday, June 13 at 9 a.m. ET on NBC.

NBC AND Roland-Garros: In 1975, NBC became the first American television network to provide coverage of the French Open when the network signed a three-year deal with the French Tennis Federation. The tournament was covered by CBS from 1980-82 and returned to NBC in 1983, where it has remained since. This is NBC’s 39th consecutive year televising the event.
