PEACOCK ACQUIRES NEW PACKAGE OF ROLAND-GARROS MATCHES, EXPANDING NBC SPORTS’ EXCLUSIVE COVERAGE OF TENNIS GRAND SLAM

Peacock’s Exclusive Live Presentation of NBC Sports’ Coverage Includes Opening Day Match on Sun., May 30, New Night Session Over Middle Weekend (June 5-7), plus Championship Weekend Matches 

Peacock to Stream Daily Roland-Garros Highlight Show and Full Match Encores Throughout the Tournament

 NEW YORK and STAMFORD, Conn. – May 13, 2021 – Peacock today announced a multi-year agreement with the French Tennis Federation for a new package of Roland-Garros middle weekend night sessions, expanding NBC Sports’ exclusive coverage of the Grand Slam event. This year, Peacock will exclusively present the new night sessions in Paris: four live hours beginning at 2 p.m. ET on Sat., June 5 and Sun., June 6, and three live hours starting at 3 p.m. ET on Mon., June 7.

This new package is in addition to other exclusive windows of NBC Sports coverage on Peacock for the 2021 tournament, totaling nearly 20 hours of live Roland-Garros coverage across all three weekends of the 2021 event. Peacock will feature a first-round match at Noon ET on the opening day of the tournament, Sun., May 30, and the men’s doubles final at Noon ET on Sat., June 12. NBC Sports will produce all live Roland-Garros coverage that is available on Peacock Premium.

Peacock will also present full match encores from NBC Sports’ coverage of Roland-Garros 2021 on NBC (NBC Sports coverage dates on NBC below) and stream a Roland-Garros highlight show throughout the tournament.

NBC Sports will continue to present live coverage of Roland-Garros on NBC, with third- and fourth-round matches over the middle weekend (June 5-6), and the Women’s and Men’s semifinals and finals Thurs., June 10 through Sun., June 13. Extensive tune-in details will be released in coming weeks.

Peacock currently features live sports content from Premier League, US Speed Skating, Figure Skating, Rugby, Supercross, Skiing, and Snowboarding. Upcoming live sports coverage on Peacock will be headlined by INDYCAR, the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, and the 2021 NFL season, concluding with Super Bowl LVI. Highlights of Peacock’s previous live sports offerings include a Sunday NFL Wild Card playoff game, U.S. Open golf, U.S. Women’s Open golf, and upcoming events include Olympics and Paralympics coverage.
