STAMFORD, Conn. – April 21, 2021 – NBC Sports presents Ring City USA boxing tomorrow night, Thursday, April 22 with main and co-main event bouts live at 9 p.m. ET on NBCSN, as professional boxing comes to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point for the first time.

Tomorrow’s event from West Point, N.Y., features a three-fight main card highlighted by three-time division champion Jelena Mrdjenovich (41-10-2, 19 KO) making the sixth defense of her WBA Featherweight World Title against Mexico’s Erika Cruz (12-1, 3 KO). Mrdjenovich returns to Ring City USA following her fifth world title defense, a 10-round unanimous decision victory against Iranda Paolo Torres on Dec. 17, 2020 at the Wild Card Boxing Gym in Los Angeles, Calif.

In the co-main events, Juan Pablo Romero (13-0, 9 KO) makes his United State debut against Denier Berrio (22-2-1, 13 KO) in an eight-round junior welterweight fight, and Kazakhstan’s Bobirzhan Mominov (12-0, 8 KO) takes on Tijuana’s Angel Ruiz (16-1, 12 KO) in an eight-round welterweight contest.

Thursday night’s show from West Point features special guest commentator Jamel Herring, who is the WBO Super Featherweight World Titlist and a former member of the United States Marine Corps, having served two tours of duty in Iraq.

The partnership consists of a series of two-hour match slates on Thursday evenings at 9 p.m. ET on NBCSN throughout 2021.
