CHAMPIONSHIP FACTS

    • Wales, who topped Italy in Round 4 to improve to 4-0-0, look to clinch their second Six Nations title in the last three years with a win or draw against France in Round 5. Wales can also clinch the title if France gain just three match points on Wales on Saturday.
      • With a win, Wales would secure their fifth Grand Slam title since 2000 by winning all five of their matches.
    • France enter Round 5 as the only team outside of Wales in title contention.
      • France, who still have their postponed match v. Scotland to make up, control their own destiny with two matches remaining and would likely win the title with bonus-point victories against Wales and Scotland.
    • Italy enter Round 5 on a 31-match Six Nations losing streak after falling to Wales, 48-7, in Round 4.
      • For the sixth straight year, Italy will finish last in the Six Nations table and be awarded the Wooden Spoon.
    • Scotland lost to Ireland, 27-24, in Round 4, eliminating them from title contention.
    • Ireland face rival England in Round 5 looking to secure a top-three Six Nations finish for the eighth straight tournament.
    • Defending champion England beat France, 23-20, at home in Round 4.
      • With a loss to Ireland this weekend, England would finish with a losing record in Six Nations play for just the second time under coach Eddie Jones.
