STAMFORD, Conn. – March 8, 2021 – Coverage of the most prestigious sailing competition in the world, the America’s Cup, begins tomorrow from Auckland, New Zealand, live across NBCSN and NBC Sports Gold. The 36th edition features Defender, Emirates Team New Zealand, taking on Challenger, Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team, vying for the oldest trophy in international sport. The 36th America’s Cup, presented by Prada, is a best-of-13/first to seven points event.

NBC Sports’ live coverage begins tomorrow at 10 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Gold’s “America’s Cup Pass.” NBCSN will present an encore at 11:30 p.m. ET. Emirates Team New Zealand acts as Defender after defeating Oracle Team USA in the 2017 America’s Cup. Italian Challenger Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team advanced to the America’s Cup after defeating INEOS Team UK in the Prada Cup challenger series last month.

  • Exclusively on NBC Sports Gold’s “America’s Cup Pass,” three unique camera feeds will be available to access: a 3D data stream and two on-boat streams;
    • 3D Data Feed: Features real-time 3D graphics event coverage, complemented by live on-boat cameras from the two competing yachts and a race-related live data set.
    • On-Boat Feeds: Each of the two feeds consists of one isolated camera (stern camera) from the yacht with related ambient sound and the same live data set provided within the 3D data feed.
