STAMFORD, Conn. – March 4, 2021 – The 2021 Monster Energy Supercross season continues this Saturday in primetime from Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla., live at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN, NBC Sports digital platforms and Peacock Premium. NBC Sports’ Supercross analyst Ricky Carmichael, a five-time Daytona Supercross race winner, designed the course at Daytona International Speedway for the 14th consecutive year.

During Saturday’s telecast, as part of “Motorsports Junction,” defending champion Eli Tomac sits down with three-time Daytona 500 champion and NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee Dale Jarrett to discuss the motorsports history surrounding Daytona International Speedway, what tying Carmichael’s track record would mean to Tomac, and how this weekend’s race can make or break the remainder of his season.

Earlier today, Carmichael and NBC Sports’ Supercross play-by-play voice Leigh Diffey previewed Saturday’s race here. Below are highlights:

Carmichael on the Monster Energy Supercross stop at Daytona International Speedway: “You ask any of these riders the one race that they want to win and that’s Daytona Supercross because it is physically the hardest Supercross race of the year…a lot of prestige (and) heritage on the line.”

Carmichael on Eli Tomac aiming to become a five-time winner of the Daytona Supercross race, tying Carmichael’s record: “If he wins, it’s almost validation for his season…we all know this track favors him, his results speak for themselves…it’d be a great story to see him get that fifth win (at Daytona).”

Peacock Premium, the new streaming home of Supercross, provides live and commercial-free coverage of qualifiers and races as well as on-demand replays.
