STAMFORD, Conn. – Sept. 17, 2020 – NBC Sports continues its Diamond League track & field coverage with the series’ third non-exhibition event of the season in Rome, Italy, today, Thursday, Sept. 17, live at 1 p.m. ET on NBCSN. The competition will also stream live on NBC Sports Gold’s “Track and Field Pass.”

Two-time Olympic sprint champion Elaine Thompson-Herah (Jamaica), current pole vault indoor world record holder and 2019 world silver medalist Mondo Duplantis (Sweden), and two-time reigning world champion hurdler Karsten Warholm (Norway) headline the international field. Thompson-Herah is expected to compete in the women’s 100m, and Warholm in the men’s 400m hurdles, while Duplantis will compete in his specialty event, men’s pole vault. Aleia Hobbs, the 2018 U.S. champion in the women’s 100m and a three-time NCAA champion, will represent the American contingent in the women’s 100m.

Paul Swangard handles the call, joined by analysts – four-time Olympic medalist Ato Boldon and 2012 Olympian and two-time world bronze medalist Alysia Montaño, who is known for her advocacy work supporting women pursuing careers and motherhood simultaneously.
