STAMFORD, Conn. – Sept. 9, 2020 – With one day until NFL Kickoff, NBCUniversal presents a comprehensive slate of NFL content for the upcoming season and leading up to kickoff between the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.

2020 marks NBC’s 15th consecutive season as the premier primetime broadcast home of the NFL. In the Sept. 13 opener of Sunday Night Football, – America’s No. 1 primetime television show for an unprecedented nine consecutive years – NFL fans will get their first look at the new and spectacular SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, as Jared Goff and the Rams host Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys.

Below is a summary of the NBCU properties that are supporting NFL Kickoff 2020:

TODAY: On Thursday morning, the TODAY Show will air Mike Tirico’s interview with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. During NBC News’ 3rd hour of TODAY, Craig Melvin will interview Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll.

TODAY will also celebrate the season opener tomorrow by hosting a Virtual Plaza filled with the ultimate Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Texans fans. NBC News’ Sam Brock will be on-site reporting from Kansas City.

NFL INSPIRE CHANGE SPECIAL: Ahead of 2020 Kickoff, NFL Media and Queen Latifah present the NFL Inspire Change Special, airing tonight at 9 p.m. ET on NBC, NBCSports.com, and the NBC Sports app. Hosted by Queen Latifah, the one-hour program will highlight the efforts of NFL players, Legends and others in the NFL family to advance social justice and equality.

NBC ENTERTAINMENT: NBCUniversal and Comcast will support NFL Kickoff 2020 with custom integrations across on-air, digital and social assets, including shows such as American Ninja Warrior and America’s Got Talent.

CNBC: Al Michaels will join Fast Money Halftime Report tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. ET on CNBC.

TELEMUNDO: Telemundo will support NFL Kickoff 2020 with custom integrations in Exatlon Estados Unidos throughout the week, and in Un Nuevo Dia tomorrow.  

ACCESS HOLLYWOOD, E!’s DAILY POP: Access Hollywood and E!’s Daily Pop will share exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the new Sunday Night Football show open with Carrie Underwood.

ON HER TURF: The third season of On Her Turf’s digital series, “Football Is Female,” will begin this Friday with the premiere episode featuring Los Angeles Rams Director of Football Operations Sophie Harlan.

NBC AFFILIATES, OWNED STATIONS AND NBC SPORTS REGIONAL NETWORKS: NFL Kickoff promotions continue to air throughout the week on NBC Affiliates, Owned Stations and NBC Sports Regional networks across the country, with analysis and commentary from NBC Sports’ SNF and FNIA teams on local newscasts.

PEACOCK: Peacock – NBCUniversal’s new streaming service – features live sports talk programming every week day on the NBC Sports channel.  Shows include PFT Live, featuring Mike Florio and co-host Chris Simms, from 7 – 9 a.m. ET, The Dan Patrick Show from 9 a.m. – Noon ET, The Rich Eisen Show from Noon – 3 p.m. ET, and more shows coming soon: Brother From Another (3-5 p.m. ET) and PFT PM (5-6 p.m. ET).

NBC SPORTS SOCIAL: NBC Sports’ social accounts continue to engage with NFL Kickoff throughout the week. On TikTok, NBC Sports’ ‘Dak TikTok Duet Challenge’ allows users to duet video of Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott doing his pregame ‘hip swing’ warmup from the @nbcsports TikTok account.

The @SNFonNBC Twitter account will share three usable football-themed virtual backgrounds tomorrow, encouraging fans to utilize them in meetings or classes and share with the football community.

SNF GRILL: Throughout the first half of the 2020 NFL season, NBC will celebrate and support local communities by bringing the SNF Grill, a mobile concession stand setup, to the host cities of each Sunday Night Football game. The SNF Grill will thank first responders and frontline workers by bringing a gameday stadium experience, filled with free meals and football-related fun, to hospitals, fire stations, and other frontline worker venues.

In accordance with health and safety standards, social distancing and masks will be required at all stops.
