Special ‘Eagles Ultimate Throwback Weekend’ Encore Series, Highlighted by Super Bowl LII, to Kick Off Season Beginning This Saturday
‘Eagles Pregame Live’ and ‘Eagles Postgame Live’ Return with Season Debut Surrounding Opener at Washington Sept. 13

PHILADELPHIA – Sept. 3, 2020 – NBC Sports Philadelphia today announced its extensive multiplatform coverage of the Philadelphia Eagles’ 2020 NFL regular season, highlighted by the return of Eagles Pregame Live and Eagles Postgame Live and comprehensive written, video and audio content across the new NBCSportsPhiladelphia.com and the MyTeams app. The season-long coverage begins this weekend with a special Eagles encore series.
Eagles Ultimate Throwback Weekend
NBC Sports Philadelphia will celebrate the kickoff of the Eagles season with encore coverage showcasing three of the team’s most important and memorable recent postseason victories on Saturday, Sept. 5, and Sunday, Sept. 6. The Eagles Ultimate Throwback Weekend schedule is as follows:
- Saturday, Sept. 5,
- 4 p.m. – 2018 NFL Divisional Round vs. Atlanta (Jan. 13, 2018)
- Sunday, Sept. 6,
- 6 p.m. – 2019 NFC Wild Card Round vs. Chicago (Jan. 6, 2019)
- 8 p.m. – Super Bowl LII vs. New England (Feb. 4, 2018)
- 10:30 p.m. – Eagles Postgame Live: Super Bowl Edition
Eagles Gameday Coverage
NBC Sports Philadelphia’s marquee Eagles gameday shows, Eagles Pregame Live and Eagles Postgame Live, return this season to surround every regular-season game with at least 2.5 hours of extensive news, analysis, commentary and interviews. Both shows will be available to authenticated subscribers on NBCSportsPhiladelphia.com and the MyTeams app.
The live gameday programs will continue to be led by an experienced panel of experts. Longtime host Michael Barkann will be joined by former Eagles Barrett Brooks and Seth Joyner, a member of the Eagles Hall of Fame, and Pro Football Hall of Famer Ray Didinger, with Reuben Frank contributing to the coverage.
The programs will make their season debut Sept. 13, when the Eagles open the season at Washington (1 p.m.) Eagles Pregame Live will be presented for an hour, with a special Week 1 start time of 11 a.m., and Eagles Postgame Live will begin immediately following the game for extended coverage, which will include Eagles head coach Doug Pederson’s press conference.
NBC Sports Philadelphia will provide additional Eagles gameday coverage with In Game Live, following the first and third quarters, and Halftime Live. The programs are available to stream on NBCSportsPhiladelphia.com and NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Facebook page.
Immediately following Eagles Postgame Live, NBC Sports Philadelphia’s coverage will continue with Birds Outsiders. Entering its second season, and beginning Sept. 13, the half-hour entertainment program covers all things Eagles from a fan perspective. This season, Birds Outsiders will be led by Roy Burton and SportsRadio 94WIP’s Joe Giglio, who is entering his first season as co-host.
Eagles Digital Coverage
NBC Sports Philadelphia will continue to deliver the most comprehensive written, video and audio content covering the Eagles across its robust digital portfolio, highlighted by the newly relaunched NBCSportsPhiladelphia.com and the MyTeams app. Exclusive news, analysis, commentary and information will be available daily, provided by NBC Sports Philadelphia’s experts and insiders.
Eagles-focused digital video features include Ray Didinger’s Notebook and the new Barrettone, led by Brooks, which will be published twice a week and focus on the news of the day and offer key insights and explainers. Coach Pederson’s weekly news conferences will also be streamed live on NBCSportsPhiladelphia.com. Eagles written content series include These Three Things, outlining three top things to watch for each gameday, including one for sports bettors, and Ask Ray, a platform for Didinger to answer questions from Eagles fans.
In addition, NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Eagle Eye podcast with Reuben Frank and Dave Zangaro will continue to provide in-depth audio coverage of the Eagles.
