2021 All-American Bowl Road to the Dome Tour to Kick Off on September 16

The Nation’s Top 100 High School Football Players to be Honored with Virtual Jersey Presentations

STAMFORD, Conn. (September 3, 2020) The 2021 All-American Bowl on NBC will kick off its Road to the Dome tour, honoring all 100 All-Americans with virtual jersey presentations, on Wednesday, September 16 at 8 p.m. ET.

The All-Americans, who are all high school seniors, will be virtually presented with their jerseys during a 15-episode series that will be released weekly through various digital and social platforms across NBC Sports.

“We’re excited to celebrate and showcase each of the 2021 All-Americans with the Road to the Dome tour,” said Gary Quinn, Vice President, Programming & Owned Properties, NBC Sports. “This year’s virtual tour gives us a chance to introduce the players to our NBC Sports audience and recognize all of their hard work on the path to becoming an All-American.”

The series will be hosted by NBC Sports host and play-by-play announcer Paul Burmeister. Director of Scouting for 247Sports Barton Simmons will also provide in-depth video analysis of each All-American being honored.  Interviews with select All-Americans will be featured in each episode, as well.

“This is such an exciting project to work on because it allows us to highlight incredible talent in a really comprehensive way. The sacrifices these guys have made and the hard work they’ve put in to be part of a game with the kind of history that the All-American Bowl has deserves that kind of recognition,” said Simmons.

“I really think this is a group that we could look back on and view as one of our most talented rosters ever.”

Only 100 football players receive the honor of wearing the All-American Bowl jersey each year. Each player selected to participate will culminate their high school careers during the 21st edition of the annual East vs. West matchup. NBC will present live coverage of the 2021 All-American Bowl from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
