NBC SPORTS ANNOUNCES PREMIER LEAGUE MATCH SCHEDULE FOR SEPTEMBER AS THE 2020-21 SEASON KICKS OFF SATURDAY, SEPT. 12

Live Premier League Matches Presented in Spanish on Telemundo & Universo Throughout the Season

STAMFORD, Conn. – Aug. 31, 2020 – With less than two weeks until kickoff of the 2020-21 Premier League season, NBC Sports today released its schedule for September, as NBCUniversal platforms will once again present live coverage of every Premier League match.

The opening weekend schedule kicks off Saturday, Sept. 12 at 7:30 a.m. ET on NBCSN, as newly-promoted Fulham host Arsenal, who won their record-extending 14th FA Cup last month. Highlighting the season’s first day, Premier League champions Liverpool host Leeds United – back in the Premier League for the first time in 16 years – at 12:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

In addition, Peacock – NBCUniversal’s new streaming service – makes its debut as the exclusive home of 175 Premier League matches. Peacock Premium will live stream 12 matches in September, beginning with Crystal Palace-Southampton on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 10 a.m. ET. On Saturday, Sept. 19, Peacock Premium features exclusive coverage of all morning Premier League action. All matchdays and windows exclusively on Peacock Premium will feature NBC Sports’ Premier League studio coverage.

Capping off the opening weekend, THE MEN IN BLAZERS SHOW, hosted by Roger Bennett and Michael Davies, makes their seventh season premiere featuring Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, on Monday, Sept. 14 at 5:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN and on demand on Peacock Premium.

“The 2 Robbies” podcast, featuring former Premier League footballers Robbie Earle and Robbie Mustoe, will return with two new episodes every week of the Premier League season including a season preview episode discussing the top storylines heading into the 2020-21 campaign. Earle and Mustoe also recently recorded new episodes reviewing the knockout rounds of the Champions League and Europa League as well as the latest on any new Premier League signings. Those episodes along with every episode are available on “The 2 Robbies” podcast feed anywhere you listen to podcasts.

The networks of NBCUniversal – NBC, NBCSN, and USA Network – and NBCUniversal’s new streaming service – Peacock – combine to present live coverage of all 28 September Premier League matches. Games feature pre- and post-match shows from the NBC Sports Group International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn.

In addition, matches will be telecast in Spanish each week by Telemundo and Universo and will also be streamed on the Telemundo Deportes En Vivo app for mobile devices.

Highlights from the September Premier League Schedule:

Fulham, Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion join as the promoted clubs for the 2020-21 season. Leeds United will play in the Premier League for the first time since the 2003-04 season, while West Bromwich Albion returns to the top flight after a two-season absence. After being relegated twice and promoted twice in the last seven seasons, Fulham returns to the Premier League after a single season absence.

LIVERPOOL V. LEEDS UNITED

Liverpool and 2019-20 Premier League Manager of the Season Jurgen Klopp return to the pitch this season after they won their first-ever Premier League title and first top-flight title in 30 years. In the season opener, Mohamed Salah and 2019-20 Young Player of the Season Trent Alexander-Arnold will look to lead Liverpool over Stuart Dallas and Championship title winner Leeds United, who will play in the Premier League for the first time since the 2003-04 season.

Week 2 – Sunday, Sept. 20 at 9 a.m. ET on Peacock Premium:

ARSENAL V. WEST HAM

Reigning FA Cup Champions Arsenal have beaten West Ham in four of the last five editions of this London derby, including the last meeting in March when Alexandre Lacazette came off the bench to score Arsenal’s winner.

CHELSEA V. LIVERPOOL

Chelsea enter the season with a group of new faces looking to build off their fourth-place Premier League finish and FA Cup Final appearance last season. U.S. Men’s National Team star and Hershey, Pennsylvania native Christian Pulisic, who starred during last season’s Project Restart with four goals, two assists and two penalties won in eight appearances, could return from injury to line up with new signings Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech for Chelsea. The Blues will face a challenge in the second week against Liverpool, coming off their historic title win.

MANCHESTER CITY V. LEICESTER CITY

Led by 2019-20 Premier League Player of the Season award winner Kevin De Bruyne and Golden Glove winner Ederson, Manchester City will begin the season in search of regaining the Premier League title in 2020-21. Last season’s Premier League runners-up, and champions the prior two seasons, will host 2019-20 Golden Boot winner Jamie Vardy and Leicester City, who narrowly missed out on a top-four spot last season, finishing in fifth place.
