NBC SPORTS ANNOUNCES NHL STANLEY CUP QUALIFYING ROUND SCHEDULE FOR TOMORROW AND FRIDAY

11 Qualifying Round Matchups Presented Tomorrow and Friday on NBCSN and CNBC

NHL Live to Begin Tomorrow’s Coverage at 2 p.m. ET Leading into Canucks-Wild Game 3 at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN

Friday’s Coverage to Feature Six Game 4 Matchups on NBCSN – Beginning with Panthers-Islanders at 12 p.m. ET

STAMFORD, Conn. August 5, 2020 – NBC Sports today announced start times and broadcast details for 11 matchups of the NHL’s 2020 Stanley Cup Qualifying Round tomorrow and Friday on NBCSN and CNBC.

Tomorrow’s coverage begins with NHL Live at 2 p.m. ET, leading into a presentation of the Vancouver Canucks taking on the Minnesota Wild in Game 3, with the series tied 1-1. Liam McHugh will host studio coverage alongside analysts Anson Carter and Patrick Sharp.

Coverage on Friday will feature six Game 4 matchups on NBCSN, beginning with the New York Islanders looking to clinch their Qualifying Round series against the Florida Panthers at 12 p.m. ET.

All games airing on NBCSN and CNBC are blacked out in the local markets and can be seen on the local RSNs. In addition, games not aired in their entirety on NBCSN or CNBC will air on NHL Network.

Qualifying Round series are best-of-five and will be contested between the teams seeded 5th through 12th in each conference. The winners of those series will join the top four teams from each conference, who will play round robin games to determine seeding, in the traditional 16-team Stanley Cup Playoffs format.
