2020 MONSTER ENERGY SUPERCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP PRESENTED SUNDAY ON NBC AND NBCSN AT 3 P.M. ET

Championship Action Starts Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN and Continues on NBC at 4 p.m. ET

STAMFORD, Conn. – June 17, 2020 – NBC Sports presents the 2020 Monster Energy Supercross Championship live this Sunday on NBC and NBCSN from Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City, Utah. Coverage will begin on NBCSN at 3 p.m. ET and shift to NBC at 4 p.m. ET. The season’s penultimate event, Round 16, will be presented live tonight on NBCSN at 7 p.m. ET.

Eli Tomac (343 points), in pursuit of his first-ever 450SX Class title, remains atop the class points standings with two rounds to go and can clinch the title with a victory tonight. Second in points is Sunday’s Round 15 winner, Ken Roczen (319 points), who only has a single-point advantage over third-place rider and reigning class champion Cooper Webb (318 points).

The 250SX East Class returns to action tonight, where Chase Sexton (166 points) and Shane McElrath (163 points) are in a tight battle for the lead in the points standings. In the 250SX West Class, Dylan Ferrandis (181 points) narrowly leads the standings over Austin Forkner (174 points). Both 250SX divisions will compete together in the East/West Showdown at Sunday’s season finale.

Veteran play-by-play commentator Ralph Sheheen, five-time Supercross champion and seven-time Motocross champion Ricky Carmichael, host and former racer Daniel Blair, and reporter Will Christien will call the action.
